Swimming in the Sky

Finally I am able to post this video and pictures. For his 30th birthday, Junior decided to fall thousands of feet out of a plane. I'm glad I jumped with a kid my age and not some hairy old man. He agreed to do a backflip out of the plane with me!

Very sorry this is so choppy! The video portion of my camera is not very videoy.

Then there's the serious stuff from this last month
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Like the time when my brother bought 2 1/2 lbs originally $4.50 on Sale for $7.50

The same brother: "That sounds like it's coming from his... what do you call it? Asparagus?" (esophagus)

"I always try to sing that song but I never know the words."
"Did one of you let one go or is that just my breath?" (just woke up on a car ride and we were driving by a farm)

Tough Mudder

Tomorrow I think I'll sleep in until 4:00 a.m., take a nice relaxing shower in 34 degree water, and maybe a little 11.5 mile jog to wake me up with obstacles for a fun Saturday activity.
Tough Mudder. Bring it on.

10.11.12

The date today is 10.11.12 and it is Stacey Johnson's briffday.
Happily briffday, Stacey Johnson!

Explanation: She's insane.
Some say a picture is worth a thousand words. This one is just worth one, a word starting in "Y" and ending in "ikes!!"
In honor of people born on October 11f, I will post meaningless images.
This is how I looked most days on campus this week

This is how I felt I looked

Nerd

Not relevant at all, but neither is the content of this post. I'm a stats nerd. If I had more free time I suppose I'd fill it with stats.

Just One of Those Days

To preface, I ordered all my books online and every one of them was canceled at least 4 days after, so
after reordering them, they finally arrived this weekend and I’ve been scrambling to catch up on past homework
Left 1 ½ hours early for campus to study with a friend 45 min before class
Printed three tracking numbers for books I was shipping
                Printer didn’t work
Had to go to another lab. Printed and it came out in sz 6 font ('size 6 font')
Didn’t have my ID to pay for it (ID# worked)
Post Office closed 2 minutes before I got there to mail my 15ish lbs of books
Went to the library to find out my (failed iClicker) ID
They sent me to the south end (walk 1,000 ft around the colloseum)
They sent me back to the WILK where I came from – Third floor (ID corrected)
Went to study 15 min late
Finished homework for two classes at 5:30
Attempted to print #1 @ 5:35, #2, #3… 20 minutes late for class after turning in one assignment, stapler
jamming, and running to a different building
Just remembered I didn’t bring some TV cords to a friend like I said I would on the way to campus
Arrived at class and attempted to staple my homework – no staples left
Learned that I had lost my friend's ID card

"Ooh, someone's perfume smells good!" "There's no one around. That's J-Dawgs" "No... oh, you're right"
Thanks for a good laugh, Linh!

First time I've seen a creepy nature shot and boy is it creeeeeeepy!

First Summer

This was my first summer for many things:

  • Being stranded (3 hours from home)
  • Camping in Utah
  • Breaking the law to build a fire in our fire pit so we didn't starve
  • Riding a motorcycle more than five minutes (22 hours twice in one week)
  • Have semi-paralysis
  • Be present for Chris's birthday
  • Go cliff diving
  • Play on a rope swing
  • Know someone in the Olympics
  • Backflip on a regular trampoline
  • Jump on a mattress outside
  • Grow out my "facial hair" more than two days
  • Had the wind blow my door closed and locked my keys in the car (while it was raining and I was in the canyon)
  • Rear-ended by a semi
  • Sleeping on the side of the road
  • Attending someone else's family reunion
  • Tree fell across the road in front of me (luckily I was on a motorcycle and could traverse the obstacle)
  • Was asked what the second button on my car door opener did. I said I'd never known. The next day I accidentally hit it on my way to work and it set off my roommate's car! [no affect on mine]
  • Asked myself "Why don't kids ever say they want to grow up to be Santa Claus?"
  • Thought twice about the Willie Wanka and the Chocolate Factory quote "No one ever goes in. No one ever comes out." (Chris's reaction - well, duh!)
  • Thought of a new slogan for the Marines - "The few; the proud; the prideful few"
  • Been told "Don't ask questions you don't know the answer to." "Don't talk with your mouth open." "Don't chew with your mouth full." (Thank you Greg)
  •  First time I've ever wanted someone to fail in their career
  • Playing angry birds and earned three stars on all stages
That exhausts my memory

  I don't give a hoot
